Then, in 1973, CFSL, Kolkata was brought under its administrative control the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D) under Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, New Delhi. In the year 1988 Government of India restructured the Forensic Science set-up and Forensic Science was brought under ‘Plan’. As a part of the scheme, two more divisions, viz., Toxicology and Explosives were established at CFSL, Kolkata. Sh.
